Terms & conditions
The friendly fine print: how ordering, quotes, payment and delivery work at Let Me 3D Print That.
Last updated 26 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use this website or order from Let Me 3D Print That (“we”, “us”). By sending an order request or accepting a quote, you agree to them. They don’t take away any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA). Where those laws give you more protection, they apply.
2. Ordering & quotes
- Everything we sell is 3D printed to order, so checking out on our website sends us an order request, not a final purchase. No payment is taken at that point.
- We’ll email you a quote, usually within one working day. It confirms the prints, prices, any bulk discount, the delivery cost and the expected timeline.
- A quote is valid for 14 days unless it says otherwise. The agreement between us is formed when you accept the quote (online, or by telling us in writing).
- We may decline an order request, for example if a design is no longer available. If we do, you won’t be charged anything.
3. Prices
- All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR).
- Prices on the website are per print. Bulk pricing applies to larger orders (10 or more prints, any mix) and is shown on your quote.
- Custom requests are priced individually based on size, material, print time and quantity. The price is set out in your quote.
- Delivery costs are not shown on the website. They depend on your address and order size, and are added to your quote before you accept it.
- The price on your accepted quote is the price you pay. If we make an obvious pricing mistake on a quote, we’ll let you know and you can choose to go ahead at the correct price or cancel.
4. Payment
- Once you accept your quote, we’ll send an invoice. Payment is by EFT to the bank account shown on the invoice. Please use your invoice number as the payment reference. We start making your order once your payment has reflected.
- Invoices are due within 7 days unless agreed otherwise. Orders are dispatched or released for collection once payment has cleared.
- For large or custom orders, we may ask for a deposit before production starts. If so, this will be stated on your quote.
5. Production
- We start printing once your quote is accepted and your invoice is paid. The expected timeline is on your quote, and we’ll keep you updated by email. You can also check your order status online.
- 3D printing builds items layer by layer, so fine layer lines and small variations in colour, texture or size are normal. They’re part of the 3D-printed look, not a defect.
- Filament colours can look slightly different in person than on screen. If a colour you chose is out of stock, we’ll suggest the closest match before printing.
- For custom requests we’ll advise on printability and may suggest changes (for example to size, strength or material) to get the best result.
6. Delivery & collection
- We deliver in South Africa by courier or to a Pudo locker. You can also arrange collection. Delivery times quoted by couriers are estimates, and we’re not responsible for courier delays beyond our control.
- Please make sure your delivery details and phone number are correct. Re-delivery caused by incorrect details may be charged.
- Risk passes to you once the parcel is delivered to your address or locker, or collected.
7. Changes & cancellations
- You can change or cancel your order request free of charge at any time before you accept the quote.
- After acceptance, please contact us as soon as possible. If production hasn’t started, we’ll cancel at no charge. Because prints are made to order to your specification (your chosen designs, colours, sizes and any files you sent us), we may charge for work already done or materials already used once production has started.
- Where the ECTA cooling-off period applies to your order, you may cancel within 7 days of delivery. You’ll pay only the cost of returning the goods, and items must be returned unused and in their original packaging.
8. Damaged or faulty prints
- If anything arrives broken or damaged, email us a photo within 48 hours of delivery and we’ll reprint or replace it at no cost.
- Your rights under the CPA for defective goods are not affected. If a print is faulty, contact us and we’ll repair, replace or refund it as the law provides.
- Because prints are made to order, we can’t accept returns of custom or personalised prints, or prints that have been used, unless they were faulty.
9. Safety & care
- Prints may contain small parts and are not suitable for children under 3. Supervise young children with flexi and fidget prints.
- Novelty and decorative prints are not food-safe unless the product says otherwise.
- PLA can soften above about 50 °C. Keep prints out of hot cars and direct sun, and away from heat and flames.
10. Everything else
- Accounts: creating an account is optional. Keep your password private. You’re responsible for orders made through your account.
- Our content: the Let Me 3D Print That name, logo, designs, photos and product listings belong to us. Please don’t copy them for commercial use. You’re very welcome to share photos of your order! Designs you send us for a custom request remain yours; you confirm you have the right to have them printed.
- Liability: to the extent the law allows, our responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the order concerned. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
- Privacy: how we handle your personal information is explained in our privacy policy.
- Law: these terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
- Changes: we may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one on the website when you accepted your quote.
